A short prototype-ish game about gear trains and mechanical reduction. It's made with Unity and there are 12 puzzles.

Move with WASD, aim and place gears with mouse. Sorry mobile users!

are there options to change the mouse speed, I turn my mouse like an inch or 2, and it (my setting) is supposed to turn me about 140deg but it barely even turns me at all

Oh and I cant select a gear?

On level 10 I got 45 Torque output when it only requres 15 lol.

Maybe this is just me, but the game runs at like 1fps, and my mouse turns me 180 degrees if I move my mouse a millimeter.  I am sure the game would have been fun though, as I love gear ratios and torque puzzles.

Needing to place the poles first gets so damn annoying, it's impossible to know how far away the gear have to be to connect without just deleting and placing over and over and over, and since the poles get in the way it's just aihjgnfbkjhqawnb

Well... too many bugs... except that great idea, my final level I stopped at was with req 6 torque which... I got to and nothing happened

Hit the same bug. The door actually opened when I hit 9 torque, but I felt like refining my solution to output exactly 6, and the door stayed shut. Maybe the level config just has the wrong number.

Fantastic concept overall! Never really played with gears before, so this was a fun introduction.

It's just very difficult to place cogs down when moving along the grid :(

You have to click in place, do not drag where you want.

Stacking the pillars all the way to the ceiling soft locks it, and sometimes you can place invalid cogs when moving around when placing cogs. As well sometimes they feel like they should connect but don't. Also syncing the animation between all the cogs would be really nice.

But also for anyone who placed an out of reach pillar, you can remove pillars above large cogs if you move back far enough.

Other than that, great game! :)

I was able to get 40.5 torque on Level 9,  2187 Torque on Level 10, And 243 Torque on Level 11.

Level 12 was a fun solution, had me for a while but works so well once you work out the idea. Honestly the most fun I had in a cog wheel puzzle game.

Fun little PoC! I guess more people found this after your Moebius video blew up :)

I did find a weird bug in level X where one cog just won't move. Doubt it's the right solution, but I'm assuming it should at least move, right?

That level needs several vertical layers to get the torque high enough.

I ended up giving 40.5 torque on that level when it needed 7.5 XD

I came to this one from your youtube channel. Nice work! It is quite fun and gets challenging as you progress. My suggestion is to update the cog's teths to get in sync during the placement because they overlap each other often. Also, I like the textures and the bump mappings, but personally, the ground texture with rocks looks out of place not matching well the wall.

its bad but not good
